I considered this, as I wanted to say don't buy it even if it's just 1 Euro, but I honestly cannot recommend playing it even if it was free.
So yeah, a massive disappointment to say the least.ĭo yourself a favor and don't buy it. The locations also lack the level of detail and atmosphere compared to the previous titles. I got Syberia 3 Deluxe Edition for 5,54 Euros, while the simple version is still 29,99.Ĭheesy characters and cliche dialogues are at home as well in Syberia 3. I would refund it, even though I paid only 5 Euros for it. I will finish it for the story's sake, which is nothing to write home about either. I am 10 hours deep at this point and I'm certain at least 2 of them I wasted due to bugs.
#STEAM SYBERIA 3 FULL#
a quarter of a pixel in 4K resolution and white (in full of snow Syberia) and it's always on top, so you're in a room thinking you can do something on a wall or a plant or a window and it's actually some dude on the other side of the wall with his dot all lit up which 90% of the time is just an NPC with a one liner. And btw, the highlight I'm talking about is a sort of a dot that I can barely see and I got pretty good eyesight. so good luck figuring that out with a fixed camera that glitches constantly and pans slower than Schwerer Gustav. The game also has a proximity mechanic, where items you can pick up or interact with highlight when you're in range, but not until you're like 1 step away. as getting the mouse in just the exact spot where you can click and start the interactions is something like finding the clitoris as a teenager. I want to click someone and start a conversation, sucks to be me. I double click to run, Kate stops to admire some stairs. The most time I spent on a puzzle was because the camera and the controls are so awkward and the mouse keeps disappearing and I just couldn't see something that was pretty much next to me. Puzzle difficulty is on the level of finding a puzzle in room 1 then finding the item to solve puzzle in room 2. There are other types of puzzles too, but they're pretty weak as well and your mouse cursor vanishes there too. You just cannot miss that sort of thing in testing, unless. There are timing based puzzles in this game where your mouse cursor just vanishes mid puzzle.
#STEAM SYBERIA 3 PATCH#
The point & click patch was appreciated, but it's broken. But I waited and endured and survived on nothing but replaying Syberia 1 & 2 for four ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ years and I got it now, one week before the launch of Syberia 4, hoping it's all patched and fixed and these bastards didn't even fix show-stopping bugs after 4 years. I couldn't understand it at the time, considering The King (Monkey Island) went through its 3D phase with nothing much to show for except a lot of unhappy gamers. I tried to play it initially when it launched and it was horrible without point & click.
